Salary:  £30,160

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern:

  • Monday: 3:45am – 10:45am

  • Tuesday: 3:45am – 11:30am

  • Wednesday: 3:45am – 11:30am

  • Thursday: Not required

  • Friday: 3:45am – 10:00am (on site) + 2 hours stock procurement (remote – work from home)

  • Saturday: 3:45am – 11:00am (office based)

  • Sunday: 2 hours stock procurement (remote – work from home)


About the Role

P K Produce Ltd is a busy food distribution business based in Biddenden. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Morning Supervisor to oversee our daily warehouse and distribution operations.

This is a hands-on role combining team supervision, stock procurement, and driving duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth early-morning operations, accurate order fulfilment, and high standards of food safety and customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the early morning warehouse team to ensure efficient picking, packing, and dispatch of orders.

  • Oversee stock control, rotation, and quality checks of fresh produce and food products.

  • Manage stock procurement, including supplier communication, ordering, and inventory planning.

  • Carry out driving and delivery duties as required.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

  • Monitor and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.

  • Lead, motivate, and support team members to optimise performance.

  • Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.

  • Maintain accurate stock records and assist with inventory management systems.

  • Work collaboratively to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.


Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience within food distribution, warehouse, or logistics environments.

  • Strong understanding of stock control and procurement processes.

  • Experience working with fresh produce or perishable goods is highly desirable.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

  • Good knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in early morning, fast-paced environments.

  • Confident team leader with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.

  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Competent IT skills for stock management and ordering systems.
